Veto Decisions

I am President of a 31 home association. Our newly elected Treasurer is requesting the association incur the expense for a post office box for association mail. I do not want the post office box. We have three members on the board. The Secretary agrees we need the P.O. Box. Can I veto this and prevent them from getting the P.O. Box?

- Amy

You should preside over your board in a democratic manner. One of the basic tenets of parliamentary procedure is that the majority rules, so I suggest you graciously defer to your fellow board members.

Sincerely,

Margey

Noise

I have a neighbor whose son plays in a band, he practices in his garage, loudly and I mean loudly electric guitar.

Can he play loudly on Monday-Fridays from 6:00 pm to 1:00 am ?

- Maria

Your municipality probably has a noise ordinance; I suggest you call the police when the band plays during restricted hours.

Sincerely,

Margey
