Doug was born and raised in the islands and now lives in east Honolulu with his wife, Teri. He attended the University of Hawaii, School of Business. Before joining Certified Management, Inc, in 1993, Doug worked in many hotel openings like the Sheraton Surfrider, Ala Moana, Halekulani, and the Alii Tower of the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

Doug has been in the Community Association Management field since December 1993 with Certified Management, Inc. He is the Vice President of Project Development, in which he works directly with developers from Castle & Cooke Homes Hawaii, Gentry Homes Hawaii, Haseko, SCD International, Schuler, Towne Realty, during the initial planning of the properties, budget developments, until the turnover of the association to the homeowners.

His professional designations include the AMS® (Association Management Specialist); CMCA® (Certified Manager of Community Associations; and PCAM® (Professional Community Association Manager.)
