Janet (Jan) Olson Svoboda is a graduate of Baylor University and has been active in many facets of the real estate industry since 1975. Jan has been involved in the sales of real estate since 1975 and property management since 1976.

Being the daughter of a builder developer, Jan acquired most of her construction knowledge and management style from her father. Her vast knowledge of construction as well as her management skills comes from years of on the job training that she received from being around the construction of single-family homes, apartments, condominiums and commercial strip centers all her life. Her management style is one that developed through years of helping her father, whether it was reading blueprints, attending construction meetings, visiting jobsites during construction, coordinating punch lists, assisting owners with decorating selections, or researching and proofreading legal documents. This array of knowledge and being involved in different facets of the industry has given Jan the ability to solve, troubleshoot and even prevent problems before they arise, or to find quick but effective resolutions if a problem does occur.

Jan spent several years in the management of condominium associations, apartments and commercial office buildings. She received the Community Manager of the Year award for the Houston Apartment Association (HAA) in 1992. She was chairperson for several HAA committees during her tenure in the apartment industry.

Jan was a manager with Prime Site in 1982 through 1984 and then left to become a Property Supervisor for Harry Reed & Co., and then went on to become the Commercial Property Supervisor for Hettig & Companies, and then the Senior District Manager/Regional Director for Wilson Management at the same time she was co-owner of Southwest Real Estate & Appraisal Service. In October 2001, Jan returned to Prime Site as the Senior Community Manager and in January of 2002 she became Vice President of Prime Site Inc., and then President in October 2003.
