Robert L. Elks is President of Select Community Services. SCS is a community management firm in the Washington DC metropolitan area that concentrates their skills on the management of communities that do not have on site management staff.

Mr. Elks has been involved the development and management of community associations since 1978. Before joining SCS, he owned and operated a community management company that specialized in the management of small communities. Prior to forming his company, he worked with a real estate developer as a project manager converting apartment properties into condominium associations.

He has also been an officer of a commercial bank. In this capacity he was exposed to commercial lending, real estate lending and the mortgage banking aspects of the real estate industry as well as general commercial banking.

Mr. Elks has a business degree from East Carolina University.
