Before entering the Community Association Management field, Tom worked as a Project Manager for a private contractor doing Government contract work for over 5000 quarters at Schofield Barracks, Fort Shafter and Wheeler Air Force Base. During his four years as a Project Manager, Tom hired and supervised 25 employees, who did the preventative maintenance on the quarters, which included plumbing, carpentry and electrical work.

Tom has been working in the Community Association Management field since October 1992. He has successfully managed large scale Associations such as Crosspointe and has dealt with all aspects of Management including fiscal, physical, and administrative and risk management.

Tom's current portfolio of nine properties ranges from 24 units to 500 plus units. Tom's experience in supervising teams, budgeting and organizational skills are his assets in managing Associations.

In 1998, Tom earned the coveted “Professional Community Association Manager” PCAM Ò designation offered though Community Associations Institute (CAI). In order to get this designation you must be in the industry for at least five years, pass all six of the Professional Management Development Program (PMDP) classes with CAI, complete an extensive case study with a written thesis, and once awarded the PCAM Ò designation, must take a continuing educational class once every three years. Tom also received his “Certified Manager of Community Associations” CMCA Ò through the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers (NBC-CAM) in 1996. Tom is a Principal Account Executive at Certified Management, Inc.
