Van is a Vice President and one of the original founders of Community Group, and is responsible for the operations of all the company's data processing systems and corporate accounting. He has more than 24 years of accounting and computer systems experience, and is the person responsible for the development and integration of all the company's acclaimed software systems.

After graduation from the University of Alabama with a BSBA degree in accounting, Van began his career in the accounting department of Southeastern Airline and rapidly progressed to assume responsibility for the implementation of the airline's computerized accounting and reporting systems. While with the airline, Van also gained invaluable audit and corporate accounting experience.
